LAGOS—LEADERS of the Okrika community in Lagos have thrown their weight behind the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 to deepen his transformation agenda.
Known as Kirike Se (Okrika) Community, with about 20,000 members in Lagos, the leaders said they are backing Jonathan because he is a consensus builder, a detribalised Nigerian and a man of peace.
President of the Rivers State Community, Chief George Olungwe and other leaders including Engr Peter M Kalio, Captain Edward Dagogo Nonju and Chief Perebo Abibio said: ‘’It is our resolve that we the over 20,000 Okrikans in Lagos and its environs will come out en-masse on the election day in 2015 to join millions of other well-meaning Nigerians to vote for the re-election of a man of honour, President Jonathan and his Vice, Namadi Sambo.”
