Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he is the most experienced candidate to lead Nigeria out of the present predicament.

He described President Goodluck Jonathan as an inexperienced leader under whose leadership Nigeria was going through the worst of times.
Atiku, who is the All Progressives Congress presidential hopeful, said he,of all the people aspiring to be president, possessed the best democratic principles to lead Nigeria.

The APC presidential aspirant however said that he was not desperate for power, as he was ready to support any candidate that emerged as the party’s flag bearer.
He said, “All these people contesting for the presidency are inexperienced, compared to my own experience and qualities in democracy. Having been the Vice President of Nigeria for good eight years, nobody has broken this record till today.
“Nobody fight the military, in this country, for democracy like me. My mentor, the late Shehu Yar’Adua lost his life in the cause of this struggle. I repeat, nobody fight for democracy like me. For that reason, I am the most experienced politician amongst those contesting the Presidency.”
The former Vice President said he was the only strong politician who fought the former President Obansanjo in 2003 against the imposition of a third term, and brought stability to the polity.
He promised to tackle the security challenges facing Nigeria by empowering the military with the required equipment. He said he would create room for more recruitment of security personnel to curtail insurgency in the country.
