Jan 8,2015.

The sack of the workers said to be employed by the immediate past administration of Dr Kayode Fayemi was announced by the factional speaker of the House, Hon Dele Olugbemi, during the monthly prayer meeting to usher in the New Year at the Assembly Complex in Ado-Ekiti.

Some of the affected workers in an interview with newsmen alleged that the speaker told them that their employment did not follow due process.

When contacted by journalists to respond to the allegation, Hon Olugbemi said the workers were recruited in the twilight of Dr Fayemi’s administration.

He said casual workers who have been working in the Assembly were left out of the recruitment.

Hon Olugbemi however, disclosed that plans were on to regularise the employment.
