The rapper's lawyer as well as reps of the prison where he is being held have refuted reports that he has been released on bail.
Bobby Shmurda’s attorney Howard Greenberg has denied reports that the locked up rapper is out on bail.
A misleading Instagram video which was posted by aspiring singer, Yung Relle, prompted reports that the rapper has been released. In the video, Bobby Shmurda can be seen clutching his gold chain, saying "I'm back baby”.
The video was accompanied with the caption "My Bro Is Back" along with the hashtags "#DontTellNobody”, #bobbyshmurda, and #Yungrelle."
Speaking with Revolt, Howard Greenberg revealed that the rapper would not be freed until the end of January.
Brooklyn rapper, Bobby Shmurda was arrested in December on weapons and conspiracy charges and there have been reports that his label head, Sha Money XL are making plans to get him out of the NYC’s Rikers correctional facility where the rapper is currently locked up.
A NYC’s Rikers’ representative also told Hiphopdx that the “Hot Nigga” rapper is still in prison.
Bobby Shmurda and his GS9 crew were arrested at Quad Studios in the morning of Wednesday, December 17.
