Who will be named as the best three players on the planet ahead of next month's ceremony? Find out on Goal this afternoon!
Fifa is set to reveal the final three candidates for the 2014 Ballon d'Or on Monday.
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo ended Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi's four-year reign as best player on the planet just under 11 months ago and the duo are hot favourites to be on the trio of names confirmed at 17:00CET.
Germany's World Cup win and Bayern Munich's continued dominance in the Bundesliga has also allowed goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, veteran skipper Philipp Lahm and star forward Thomas Muller to be mooted as potential nominees.
Arjen Robben starred in Netherlands' romp to the last four in Brazil this summer and has been consistently brilliant at the Allianz Arena in 2014, while Barca's Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester City's Yaya Toure are outsiders.
The full list of 23 players can be perused here, while Goal's editors revealed who they think deserve to be among the final three in 2014's Ballon d'Or.
Although none of the players are expected to attend the announcement, which will be extremely low key compared to January 12's ceremony next month, reaction will undoubtedly bubble through out and you can read every major bit right here with Goal.
Name your predictions for who you think the final three will be in the comment section below and feel free to gloat if you're right very shortly!
