The WHO also said that 19,031 cases of the disease have been confirmed in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Sierra Leone is currently the country with the highest number of infected patients and a total of 392 new deaths have been recorded in the country.
The current outbreak is the worst ever recorded and has affected 6 countries in West Africa since it began in March.
